When I first got TS3, the camera movements made me physically ill within only a few minutes of playing. The first thing I did was start digging through directories until I found the camera file and quickly began making changes.

This is my camera mod for TS3. It gets rid of the 'drift' in freecam mode (tab), plus allows the camera to go down to ground level. It's not as involved as Gunmod's TS2 camera mod was, but hopefully it'll be useful for people. It's allowed me to actually play the game for more than ten minutes at a time, at any rate.

A version of this was originally uploaded in the TS3 picture thread on GoS, but this is an updated version. If you downloaded my original from GoS, allow this one to overwrite it.

Installation instructions: Install as you would any other custom content.

I know what you mean about the camera controls. It's a tad crazy isn't it.

It's really great that you were able to do this so quickly. Thank you very much. I will have to make use of this, even though I said I wanted to keep it mod free, I know your stuff is always well made and safe to use in the game.

Can I just say, really nice teaser pic.

Thanks again Aikea for the hardwork and for sharing the mod.

Hello! I've found your website thanks to Transient Sims (http://transientsims.wordpress.com/resources/) blog and I was wondering if I could install it on my Mac. Would it work? Because I'm really sick of the limitations the the TS3 camera mode.

Thank you for your attention,

I gave it a try at The Sims 3>>Resources>>Transgaming>>C>>Windows>>Program Files>>EA>>The Sims 3>>GameData>>Shared>>NonPackaged. Pretty much the same path for a regular PC.

Didn't try it out yet, though (I've some extra work to do now and if I opened the game... my schedule would be in real risk!).

As soon I do, I'll come back and report.

Thanks for the quick response,
Tristan: "I didn't think you could come up with something like this on your own. Although 'Club Crimsyn' is something I could see you having a hand in."
Chris: "The 'Y' makes it hip."
Tristan: "Yes, if you say so."
