Non-Default and Default Replacement Skintone V2

I'm finally getting around to releasing V2 of my skintones. I've had these for a couple years now and just never really got around to finishing them to a releaseable state until this week. The base tone is lighter and more 'pink' than EA's default tones.

All age groups, including babies, have been altered. There are two variations on the teen-elder skins: one anatomically correct and one Barbie with no 'bits' textured.

Anatomical males have been textured for use with Cmar's brilliant morphing penis. The females have no body hair, so you're free to add your own as you see fit. Cmar has a version here, or you could use jrs1317's Kibbles & Bits. The latter of these would work especially well with the Barbie skins for those who would like to have more diversity in their nude-ness.

I haven't had V1 of these in my game in forever, but images of V1 can be found here for those who'd like to compare.

None of the images under the cut have been photoshopped except to resize and add a border. This is how the skins look in-game.

I'm releasing these in several variations, though I will not be separating out the bodies/faces as these skins won't work with other defaults due to the changing of the base color tone.

Pets - Default Replacement Hair + Bonus Pet (Fox-in-Progress)

Default replacement hair textures for Pets, plus a bonus pet. Male textures by Anto, female texture by me. Blah blah blah etc etc etc... I really should be cleaning the house and/or packing right now, so this is going to be really stuttered and probably uninformative.

Plus one pet: a small dog in the form of a fox. This is absolutely a work in progress, but since I'm leaving tomorrow I thought I'd throw it up here in case anyone felt like 'testing' it for me. In my game, its head tends to want to look all weird and deformed if it looks over its shoulder. I have AM with multipliers set to X3 or X4, so if you don't, you probably won't want to go making any changes to it.

This Vulpes vulpes (well... we'll call her that for now as, honestly, foxes are larger than this one shows up in game, as they're somewhere between the size of a small and large dog, adults measuring 35–50 cm [14–20 in] at the shoulder, not even mentioning that her tail is nowhere near fluffy enough...) has the traits of hunter, aggressive, and destructive. She is amazing.

Updated Object Files [Pets Rig Fix]

We have fixed our object files that were probably broken by Pets/whatever the hell number that patch was. This fix means the new version of the items probably won't work with unpatched/no Pets games, so if you don't want to patch or get Pets, don't lose the old files. Also, all future items will be compatible with the patch/EP, and we have zero interest in making any new items backwards compatible.

CAS items/patterns/poses/etc. don't seem to be broken, at least as far as I've personally seen. If you find any of these items are no longer working, please let us know and we'll most certainly look into it!

Simply follow this link and redownload any of the items you need. All the files on the server have hopefully been updated. Please let us know if you come across anything we missed!

This is set of two different mismatched sneakers, for males and females, teens through elder, for a total of eight sneakers. The adult male mismatched sloppy sneakers require the teen male version to work.

AFtoAM Shoes, AF Basegame Mohawk Edit

I'm pretty sure I've mentioned bunches of times over the years that I don't really do requests. Still, once in a while someone will ask so damn nice for something that's pretty easy that I figure it's ok to do them once in a while.

Anyway, just a couple of random items...

The first is my 'Secret' shoes for males. They have the exact same textures and presets as the female version, only they've been scaled for male feet. These have all the morphs and LODs, and... I have to admit I'm really surprised by how good they work. In fact, I'm sorta really tempted to make the heel a bit bigger and release them as a pair of 70s platform shoes.

Next up is a variation on that weird 'mohawk' for females from the base game. It's sort of funny, because I agreed to do this while I was on vacation, then of course I got horribly sick for two weeks, so I pretty much forgot that I'd agreed to do it. Then, on the way to the store about a week ago I thought to myself 'Oh man... if I stick my hair straight up, it looks just like that one hair from the base game. Only difference is my hair isn't shaved quite so close as that one. I should go in and add the buzz cut scalp... wait. Someone already asked me to do that..."

Anyway...

I'd like to say that 'all I did' was add on a scalp and face texture to take it from 'I shaved my head with a razor!' to 'I used a pair of clippers without a guard!', but I got a bit more involoved than that. Not much, but enough that something that should have taken me 2 minutes to do ended up taking me 2 days.

I brought the hairline down in front to give some slight ease to the 'five-head' issue the original hair has (not that I'm against five-heads, since I seriously have a huge forehead in the really real world), and did some slight blending and editing of EA's shaved head textures. I also replaced EA's textures with my own, including the diffuse, control, and specular. Because of personal choice and the original requestee, these have a shine control rather than EA's highlight control. I... just... do not like EA's highlight control. (Why oh WHY don't their halos work in the game as wonderfully as they do in CAS??)

Rat Bastard Hoodie and Jeans for YA/A Males

This is a pair of items I made exclusively for SF Magazine's Collection Issue. The hoodie is based on a hoodie from Rock Band, which I made a version of for TS2. The jeans... well... they're just some jeans with a couple different variations, some of which are more torn up than others.

Modern Love - Afro-Wrap Hair for Teen-Elder Females

Nouk did a hair sort of similar to this for TS2, which was converted quite a while ago. I did a bit of remixing and shifting around of bits to come up with this style.

Just to set the record straight, geldyh is NOT me, and is in NO WAY associated with either me, Aikea, or Club Crimsyn.

While I will say that I've had this username (first on LiveJournal) since 2005 and find it incredibly odd that someone would be involved in Sims 3 CC and be completely unaware of me, or at least Club Crimsyn, I have no desire to start a pissing contest with some random person over the internet.

This post is just to inform all you about this, to hopefully lessen the confusion this has apparently caused. Aikea and I are still creating things together (I just got home today from eating her food and drinking her wine, actually), I've just been incredibly distracted by the beast known as Real Life™.

Secrets - Shoes for Adult Females

These were sortakinda requested in a simsecret secret a few weeks ago. Because I own one of the pair of shoes featured, I decided to go ahead and simulate them.

Periodic Printmaking Project - 34 Artworks

I love art. I also love science. When I find them together, it makes me very happy. I found these amazing prints over on The Periodic Printmaking Project and knew I had to have them in my game.

There are 34 images in a single file. I may or may not eventually get around to doing all the elements.

You need Late Night for these! Sorry about that; these were originally intended for personal use so I wasn't paying as close attention to the object I cloned as I should have been. Apparently you don't need LN, as this seems to work fine in a WA-only game. XD Found under Decorative - Wall Hangings for §342.

An FYI about the Generations body hair:

Originally I was going to do a simple default replacement for these, but holy shit... EA's body hair options (while hideous) are way more complex than I was expecting. There are multi-layerable options for chest, stomach (including a happy trail holy shit), legs, arms, hands, feet..!

Which is all a good thing! But it means that it'll be a bit before I'm able to sit down and really do either replacements or just new body hair overlays all together. This on its own wouldn't take me overly long, but I have family coming back into town tomorrow, so I'll be busy with them.

So far, in my very few minutes of getting to look through the EP, it looks like EA's done quite a few things right. The clothing and hair for males is so cute and varied! I can't wait to have a chance to play, which is funny because originally I was so focused on the coming ponies that I wasn't all that interested in this one.

Magazine Clutter - SF Magazine

Some magazine clutter for the pixels...

I'm pretty sure this is the last object we needed to convert from our old TS2 objects.

Special thanks to SFMagazine for allowing me to use their brilliant images for these. Our original textures used TS2 images, and quite frankly, it was sort of freaking me out. I may attempt to find the time to redo some of the pictures in TS3 and remake my original magazine textures.

Pose Pack: Floor 1

I'm beyond amazed at how quickly we've unlocked creating custom poses/animations for TS3. I'm pretty sure we weren't this far along with TS2 at the same point in its release, and even if we were, there certainly weren't as many people creating them as there are with TS3. I think this is in huge part because of how insanely straightforward the entire process is, with the added bonus of the poses translating much better between MilkShape and the game.

Anyway, enough rambling!

Here's our first pose pack offering. I needed more floor poses, so I made five of them. They work equally well for males and females, and as a surprise added bonus, they actually work really well together.

These require the Pose Player by Cmomoney in order to work. Read about how to use it in the link.

'Be A Man. Die For Albion.' - Fable III Propaganda Posters + Bonus TS2 Wall Writing Conversions

I previewed these on the Club Crimsyn Facebook awhile ago, and only just got around to getting preview pictures today, so you finally get to download them. Basically, I've been playing Fable III and the propaganda that's displayed during loading screens and throughout the world has amused me greatly, so my sims get to throw them on their walls, as well. There's twenty-seven in total, previews of all of them are below the cut.

I've wanted to join in on one of Garden of Shadows'sss's'sss's Sim Challenges for ages, but lately have had a trouble finding the spare time to do so. Thankfully, Real Life is taking a break for a few weeks (it'll be back soon, however...) so I was able to join in on March's Prompt.

I originally intended to go a more obvious direction with the Morpheus prompt, making a Sandman sim (and my husband suggested I go with Morpheus from The Matrix), but then, lately -- and as usual -- I've been having a really horrible time sleeping. When I finally do manage to sleep, I'm either having terrible nightmares or dreams so vivid I wake up exhausted from them. (The other night I dreamt I fell asleep, so even my dreamself is tired.) Anyway, that made me think my own Dream God is a bit of an ass, but also kinda cool, sometimes amusing, and always insane.

( If you need me, me and Neil will be hanging out with the Dream King... )

He's evil, flirty, insane, artistic, and dramatic. His lifetime wish is to have a bottomless wine cellar, because... that's actually my dream. His favorites are Black, Classical, and Fish n Chips (I... have no idea), and he's a Leo (also no idea).

The skintone is (the still unfinished and unreleased) V2 of my skintone, but he should look fine with just about any default replacement skintone. I swear I'm not keeping it to myself to be mean, I'm just so damned lazy...

He was made with all the EPs and a couple stuff packs installed, so I'm not sure what that means for people downloading him. I made sure to pack him up in basegame clothing, though he's shown in an outfit from the Store.

ALSO! I have a metric shit-ton of sliders installed, and I honestly can't remember which ones I used on him, plus I'm running AM with x4 on all sliders. Basically, I think he should show up fine if you don't have the sliders, just don't try to modify him. :X

Please don't claim you made him. Otherwise, feel free to use him for whatever you want; it's about time the sadistic bastard got a taste of his own medicine.

Ok. We hate to do this, but it's that time of year again. Our webhost will soon be asking us for a large sum of money, and we'd really appreciate it if anyone who can spare anything would chip in a bit to help us out.

As we said last year [and the year before] around this time, we had no trouble paying for our hosting out of our own pockets back when we first opened the site, but unfortunately (?) we got too popular or something. We go through a lot of bandwidth each month which is why it isn't cheap anymore.

Bela Lugosi's Dead - Vampire Clutter: Books and DVDs

I've had a thing for vampires for longer than I'd care to admit. Decades, in fact. I first started really getting into them when I was 11 or 12, and never looked back. Zombies, ghosts, werewolves... they're all ok I guess, but my cold, black heart belongs to the bloodsuckers. Anyway, I needed some vampire clutter for a scene in Deception Pass, so this is what I came up with.

There are several different paperback sized books, and two variations on DVDs. They're all found under Decorative - Misc, and all cost §8 because I needed to be able to find them all in one place. Except the Dracula hardcover... that one's §13 or something because it's just a retexture of my single hardcover book mesh. You shouldn't need the original. I don't think.

I feel like stating for the record that I really cannot stand Twilight. I only made the damn books because they're plot-centric for the next episode.

( One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach: all the damn vampires. )

All of these should be base game compatible.

Borderline - Jelly Bracelets for Females

Ahh... the 80s. I loved the look of dozens of jelly bracelets as a kid, and I have to admit I never really got over it. A lot of 80s fashion is truly horrible, but there were a few bright spots. These are a bit thicker than usual jelly bracelets, but I still like the way they look.

At any rate, these were originally part of a store top, but I thought it'd be nice to make them as an accessory. So I did. And here they are.

They're for teens and y/adults, and have four color channels. Available for everyday, formal, swimwear, athletic, and career.

Requires Late Night EP. I had to clone a necklace accessory to get the morphs to work.
