I recently (within the last month) started a tumblr. It's not very pretty (yet), but there are a couple of downloads on there. I'll still be using Dreamwidth as my main site for downloads, but I didn't want anyone to miss out on any of the followers gifts I've made. :D

And also feel free to follow me if you're over there! I mostly post TS3 pictures (edits and gameplay), but once in a while I'll post something else.

Just to set the record straight, [personal profile] geldyh is NOT me, and is in NO WAY associated with either me, Aikea, or Club Crimsyn.

While I will say that I've had this username (first on LiveJournal) since 2005 and find it incredibly odd that someone would be involved in Sims 3 CC and be completely unaware of me, or at least Club Crimsyn, I have no desire to start a pissing contest with some random person over the internet.

This post is just to inform all you about this, to hopefully lessen the confusion this has apparently caused. Aikea and I are still creating things together (I just got home today from eating her food and drinking her wine, actually), I've just been incredibly distracted by the beast known as Real Life™.

Originally I was going to do a simple default replacement for these, but holy shit... EA's body hair options (while hideous) are way more complex than I was expecting. There are multi-layerable options for chest, stomach (including a happy trail holy shit), legs, arms, hands, feet..!

Which is all a good thing! But it means that it'll be a bit before I'm able to sit down and really do either replacements or just new body hair overlays all together. This on its own wouldn't take me overly long, but I have family coming back into town tomorrow, so I'll be busy with them.

So far, in my very few minutes of getting to look through the EP, it looks like EA's done quite a few things right. The clothing and hair for males is so cute and varied! I can't wait to have a chance to play, which is funny because originally I was so focused on the coming ponies that I wasn't all that interested in this one.

*deep breath* *copies and pastes from last year's post*

Ok. We hate to do this, but it's that time of year again. Our webhost will soon be asking us for a large sum of money, and we'd really appreciate it if anyone who can spare anything would chip in a bit to help us out.

As we said last year [and the year before] around this time, we had no trouble paying for our hosting out of our own pockets back when we first opened the site, but unfortunately (?) we got too popular or something. We go through a lot of bandwidth each month which is why it isn't cheap anymore.

Every little bit helps! Thanks in advance! And please don't feel bad if you can't donate. Also, we're not holding any downloads hostage or anything, either. I'll let everyone know how much we've recieved, and once we've hit our goal just to keep this as transparent as possible.

Goal: $250
Total to Date: $250
To Goal: $0

Note: This should not ask you for a shipping address anymore. If it does, please let us know.

I'm pretty sure [personal profile] gelydh is finished with our housekeeping project. If anyone notices any oddities happening, do feel free to let us know. She's done testing in several different browsers, and seems to think everything is peachy, so there shouldn't be any issues.

Thanks for minding your step while we worked on this.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled uploads...

This is a bit of a PSA just to let everyone know that we’ve asked that our creations no longer be posted to My Sims 3 Blog. This is something we’ve been mulling over for several months now, and have finally decided we’ve had enough of the douchebaggery that goes on in the comments over there. It’s not so much things said about our creations ([personal profile] gelydh never reads the comments on our stuff, and I only very rarely), but more about what goes on in other people’s uploads. We don’t want our creations associated with that sort of environment.

And now, rant time. )

In closing, I was just shown this Dilbert, which seems fitting, so I now share it with you:

(Note the date. You’re not doing anything even remotely new or original.)

I realize how pointless this all is, but damn it, I’m posting it anyway even though I know it won’t change a damned thing. I’m OK with that. Because fuck you, that’s why.

Would anyone out there in happywonderland like to do me a huge favor and test these jeans for me? I'd gone into this project thinking this mesh was somehow linked with Late Night, but apparently I did too much crack when I started because now I'm not so sure.

PLEASE NOTE: If you decide to test these, I won't be held responsible if you combine these with other downloads. This file is in an incomplete state, and as such is subject to change before the final release. For instance, I'm not 100% done with the texture. So, basically, if you download this test version, make sure you can easily delete it if you want the final version.

Thanks so much if you feel like being my guinea pig! 8D

Mesh found! Apparently it's base game, so that's good news. I'll have a couple different versions of jeans done over the next couple of days, and then I'll officially release them.

Thanks again to everyone who helped test these for me. 8D

After some thinking, we decided it was time to 'officially' announce that we're not going to create for TS2 anymore. Obviously it's been a very long time since we've done anything with the game, but we wanted to make it official so people wouldn't feel they have to continue following us on the off chance we make something for it. Neither one of us has any real interest in the game anymore, and truthfully I'm not sure we even remember how to do much of anything with it at this point.

We want to make it clear, however, that anyone is welcome to convert anything with make for TS3 for TS2, with the usual credits, as long as you keep the conversion off paysites of all kinds.

Still trying to work out a fix for the Children's stompy boots, because apparently I can't read and no one was actually having issues with the toddler version (though my fix for those still stands -- there were missing LODs).

However, I'm dealing with a spectacular amount of Frustrating Real Life lately so I'm not sure just how quickly I'll be able to figure out what's going on. Sorry about that. I did try to just rebuild the package, but I was still getting the problem, so I'm thinking there's a problem with the actual mesh.

Just remember, even if your kid vanishes in CAS they should still show up fine in the game. It's crappy and I hate having something out that doesn't work how it should, but... something something.

I uploaded some short nail accessories to Garden of Shadows.

Also, if anyone's tried to get a hold of me over the past... I don't even know how long... and I haven't replied, it's because I've been dealing with some pretty shitty crap in the real world and it's made me even flakier than usual with regards to things like PMs and such. (For the record, water damage sucks.) At any rate, I'm getting ready to head out of town for the holidays in just under a week, and I'll make something of an attempt to catch up after the new year.
Tristan: "I didn't think you could come up with something like this on your own. Although 'Club Crimsyn' is something I could see you having a hand in."
Chris: "The 'Y' makes it hip."
Tristan: "Yes, if you say so."
