Oh yes, it did indeed just come to that.

I don't know how it'll be for anyone else, but the newest patch made my game completely unplayable; it wouldn't even launch. (Probably because I left in my nocd hack) (And yes, I have retail versions of both the base game and WA, but my only dvdrom is an external unit, which is a pain in my ass to deal with.) Given what I've seen other people having happen with their CC (both .package files and .sims3packs alike) (sims3packs are fucked up), I'd avoid patching if at all possible.

Also, the CAW tool seemed to be rather lacking. They've released the guide, which would have been useful to say the least.

Off to reinstall while I wait for Pescado to eat another part of my soul. :P

My launcher is bugged as well. Any CC that I was thinking of uninstalling via launcher is stuck there forever I guess the way it's acting.

Messing with the game itself, shop mode annoys me. My game and EP are legit, but not all my content is. At least Pescado has figured out how to restore the missing sims3packs.. I hadn't heard that it was causing package problems again though. Figures. Every patch seems to break more of the game. Sorof like trying to darn a sock with an energetic in your lap I guess.

And the CAW tool is way over my head. I had such a nice idea for a tiny town too. :(

You know, when I saw that there was a new patch I said to myself, "Self, perhaps you should wait a bit before patching..."

Well, at least I know I was right. I'm not usually one to complain, but this is starting to get ridiculous. Plus, I'm a little bothered by this "in-game store" thing. I mean, I'm all for a company being able to make a profit, but this just seems too much.

Screw it. I think I'll just go play the most violent video game I own. I've felt like smacking something all day, anyway.

Shiny things often suck me in. But, oh, I just thought of something - it's going to be hilarious to see what some of the TS3 Exchangelander kids do with CAW - oh, the messes they'll make. Should be some good fun.

I think I'm in the mood for some old-school Resident Evil 2 mayhem. Get shotgun, aim up, blow zombie head into chunks. Repeat. Of course, there's also Devil May Cry. Violence, plus Dante = tasty.

My game is totally unplayable after installing this recent patch. To be completely accurate, it was pretty buggy since installing WA, so I don't care anymore. Not playing this game means only that I have more time for playing (and enjoying) TS2.

I feel your pain! I had to reinstall after the last patch. This patch broke my S3Ps, but I converted them all to packages and now they work again. Hope you get your game working ok again!

I'm so happy to know the issue with uninstalling through the installer is a patch issue and not just a "my sims 3 hates me" issue.

CAW.. I *so* wanted to recreate the Silent Hill map. Don't see it happening.
Tristan: "I didn't think you could come up with something like this on your own. Although 'Club Crimsyn' is something I could see you having a hand in."
Chris: "The 'Y' makes it hip."
Tristan: "Yes, if you say so."
